Can You Wear Makeup After Dermal Filler?
Short answer: leave makeup off the treated points for the rest of the day. Most people can apply it again the next morning if the skin looks settled and we have not asked you to wait.
The concern is not that foundation undoes dermal filler. It is rubbing, brushes and pressure on fresh injection points, which can irritate the skin while the area is still settling. Swelling is a separate thing, and makeup will not hide it well on day one.
What to skip on the day
Foundation, concealer and powder pressed over the treated area
Lipstick and lip balm if the lips were filled
Makeup brushes, beauty blenders and firm wiping
Facial massage, face-down treatments and harsh scrubs

When makeup is usually fine again
By the next morning the points have closed. Clean hands and a light hand are enough. If a pinpoint is still open, red or bruised, work around it rather than packing product into it. Lips often stay tender for a few days, so a soft lipstick is kinder than a firm liner.
Early unevenness, especially in the lips, is usually swelling: see why lips look uneven in the first week.
How long filler lasts is a separate question: how long facial filler lasts.
Mineral makeup is not magically safer if you are still pressing on the sites
Cheeks, chin and jaw can take light coverage sooner than freshly filled lips

Quick FAQ
"I have an event tonight." Book the treatment the day before, not the same afternoon, if you need a full face of makeup.
"Can I wear lipstick?" Not on the day if the lips were treated. The next day, a light coat is usually enough if the lips are not sore.
"What about SPF?" A gentle sunscreen the next morning is welcome. Do not rub it in hard over fresh points on the day itself.
"Will one coat of concealer ruin it?" Unlikely, but same-day makeup on the injection points is the habit we ask you to skip.
