Two Day Foundation Dermal Fillers
and Botulinum Toxin Administration Course
OVERVIEW

This foundation course is for medically qualified personnel who have an interest in learning about aesthetic treatments. The course is for both beginners who have no experience or for those who require further training in order to continually progress with their career as an aesthetic practitioner.
The delegate will learn how to deliver muscle relaxants (Botox®) and Hyaluronic acid dermal filler treatments to clients. By the end of the course the practitioner will be able to deliver basic aesthetic treatments safely and competently. The practitioner will understand how to minimise and treat potential complications and the basic prerequisites for setting up an aesthetics business. On completion of the course the delegate will be issued with a fully accredited CPD certification.

You must be medically qualified as a surgeon, doctor, dentist or nurse with a current registration with the GMC, GDC or NMC, or equivalent if you are an overseas delegate

FOUNDATION DERMAL FILLERS COURSE
​

OVERVIEW

This course covers the anatomical and clinical aspects of treating the ageing face with premium brand non-permanent hyaluronic acid dermal fillers. You will be trained to address the more primary areas of the ageing face such as cheek, nasolabial lines, marionettes and the vermillion border of the lips.

 

Course Length – Two Days

DAY 1- Foundation Botulinum Toxin Administration Theory/Practical

OVERVIEW

The purpose of this course is to provide Healthcare Professionals with an in depth understanding of the pharmacology/toxicology of Botulinum Toxin Type A and its use in cosmetic medicine. Morning Theory Components:-

• Introduction to the use of Botulinum toxin

• Therapeutic use/Aesthetic use

• Building a business, insurance, working within professional guidelines

• Botulinum Toxin- variations in preparations 

• Pharmacology of Botox®

• Facial Anatomy

• Aetiology of the ageing face

• Examination and classifications of aging in the upper face

• Indications/contra-indications and treatment

• Safe Administration

• Managing side effects and complications

 

Afternoon Practical Component:

• The consultation

• Facial examination and analyse

• Meeting the needs of the patient (managing expectations)

• Demonstration by expert practitioner

• Delegate to practice on live models under supervision of the trainer

Day 2: Foundation Level Dermal Fillers Administration: Theory/Practical

Morning Theory components:

• Medical aesthetics overview

• Dermal fillers in Aesthetic Medicine

• Business building and establishing a private practice

• The Science behind Hyaluronic Acid Dermal Fillers

• The Aetiology of Ageing

• Anatomy of the face

• The mid face and lower facial ageing

• Introduction to lips and perioral lines

• Indications and treatment

• Administration of dermal fillers

• Managing side effects and complications

• Injection techniques

 

Afternoon Practical Components:

• The consultation

• History Taking

• Meeting the needs of the patient (managing patient expectations)

• Trainer Demonstration

• Hands on practical training with live models, with support and tips from our expert faculty
